Meet Michelle Gilchrist
Implementation Specialist
Michelle Gilchrist, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in child clinical psychology and trauma-informed care. She earned her doctorate at DePaul University, completed her predoctoral internship at Duke University Medical Center, and her postdoctoral fellowship at University of Chicago Medical Center, where she focused on trauma-informed assessment and psychotherapy.
Dr. Gilchrist is a within-agency trainer and therapist trained under Parent-Child Interaction Therapy International and supports the implementation of PCIT across community and clinical settings, integrating trauma-informed principles into practice. She has extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment and therapeutic intervention across hospital, community mental health and private practice settings in the Chicagoland area.
Her clinical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of toddlers, children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, attention and learning difficulties, mood disorders, attachment concerns, foster care and adoption-related issues and trauma exposure.
